The short answer is No and we’re very clear about that in our fitting sessions. Many novice, mid-handicappers come to us for our expertise in fitting and do not have to walk out of here with a bag that costs thousands of dollars. We do advise folks that we should be building their woods here but many times we can get the irons through the very respectable OEM build shops for much less money. We check every single attribute and then call the customer to let them know that their clubs have been inspected and ready to be picked up.
We do not. Due to our extremely high backlog on custom fitting and crafting, we are not taking in any outside repair work or fit to existing clubs not purchased through us.
We are a very busy, small, 3 person shop. Our days are consumed with fitting and crafting for our loyal and dedicated customer base. You’re best bet for communication with us is via e-mail. All of our fitting appointments are booked EXCLUSIVELY online and are no longer available via telephone. We will reply to your e-mail as quickly and as efficiently as possible…
Great question! Our fitting process is guaranteed and is as good and thorough as you’ll find anywhere. If you want that level of expertise in fitting, it should also be quantified in the building process. All of your specially requested, fitted clubs are built onsite with the same kind of expertise that went into your ideal fitting of them. None of your box stores offer that kind of a meticulous and detailed process, from start to finish.
While I would be the first to admit that you cannot buy a golf game, custom fitted clubs will give you the proper attributes to play better golf.
No. We offer our customers custom-fitted and -crafted clubs. If you are looking for off-the-shelf golf clubs, the best choice is a “Big Box” retailer or other similar store. They generally offer basic fitting services. But when you get serious about shot making and lowering your score, give us a call!

We work with Callaway, Cleveland, Honma, Mizuno, Odyssey, Krank Golf, Srixon, TaylorMade, and Toulon. These are our most prevalent lines. If there is something else you may be interested in, just ask and we’ll see if we can get it for you. And yes, if we can’t custom build it, we won’t get it.
Generally about 2 hours for Woods, Hybrids, Irons, Wedges. A separate session is required for a Putter fitting, which takes about 45 minutes.
I’ll refer to a saying that goes like this, “you don’t always get what you pay for, but you’ll always pay for what you get.” Our fitting sessions consist of many static and dynamic fitting steps. We use nothing but the best equipment for fitting and that attribute is only surpassed by the multitude of options that we fit you with. Numerous fitting clubs, exotic shafts that you won’t find just anywhere and locally unmatched with our 20 years of experience. We’ve been in our current location for 16 years and we’re not going anywhere. So, if you think it’s expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur…
Yes. We will use your existing clubs as a benchmark. We’ll obtain data from those clubs and then move you into the proper direction for maximized fitted clubs.
Here at the Ace of Clubs, we fit people and not gender.
Possibly. It depends on how old the club is and if the manufacturer still has the component. We keep all customers’ vital fitting data on record. Let us know what club it was and we’ll do the rest!
Of course. Just bear in mind a selection or selections may or may not be readily available like the ones we discussed at your personalized fitting session. In this business, there is a shelf life for most products. With our experience and the help of your previously compiled data, we can craft the ideal additional club or clubs for your bag.
Yes we do. Even though we don’t see nearly the percentage of left-handed golfers as we see right-handed ones.
No. We operate “By Appointment Only” and our time is limited to extensive fitting sessions in our studio and custom crafting in our build shop. We are not a retail store.
Yes. Here’s the process:
- Testing with your Driver, Irons and Wedges, you will hit a series of shots with your current golf ball of choice.
- Our FlightScope Launch Monitor system will capture multiple measurements and use that data to calculate your specific launch characteristics.
- Based on your ball flight characteristics, we will either confirm that you are currently playing the best ball for you or recommend a ball that better suits your game.
- After hitting a series of shots with the recommended ball, you will be given a side-by-side comparison of all data, which includes your launch angle, spin rates, and distance with each ball.
- By comparing the side-by-side results, you will be able to determine which ball can best maximize your performance with the important clubs in your bag.
- The most important thing to remember is that we fit the ball from the putter on out. Maximizing your golf ball for your driver only is a serious mistake. The majority of scoring in this game comes from 120 yards and in. While maximizing distance and accuracy with your driver is important, do not lose sight of the fact that the majority of strokes come from your short game.
It depends. During the extremely busy season, generally 3 to 5 weeks. In less busy times, 2 to 3 weeks. On occasion, customers will ask if they can pay an expedited charge to get them sooner. The simple answer is no, and the reason being is that we would NEVER charge you more money to get your custom built clubs sooner. If we can somehow get it done for you expeditiously, we will make it happen without an expedited service fee.
We’ll figure that out at your fitting session. There is a common misnomer out there that graphite shafts are whippy and not as stable as steel. This is nonsense. Fitted properly, the graphite we sell is every bit as good as their steel counterparts.
Yes. For the techy person, we’d be happy to explain this process at the conclusion of the fitting.
We do. Our hot melting equipment and the material we use is same as all of the major OEM’s use on their Tour Van’s and some, on the assembly line process.
We’ve been acknowledged as one of North America’s Top 100 Golf Fitters for 8 years running. We were given the prestigious ICG award of 2017 World Wide Clubmaker of the Year. We were also chosen as the Official Tech Center Facility for the 2013 US Amateur at the storied Country Club of Brookline. We are not a one-brand captive audience. Our only allegiance is to you, our custom fitted golfer and customer.
